Gone – sad, contemplative animation

By Bård Edlund, who says: “I ineffectively spent about a year and a half animating an ambiguous story devoid of anything that could possibly generate significant audience interest. And I did it with dumb amounts of passion and pride, despite the many obstacles along the way. The result is a humble black and white film of geometric figurative abstraction, perhaps best described as a visual poem about love, loss, and longing. Please reward my ego by telling your friends about it, blogging …

Wow… the pure contrast in some scenes and the simplicity of some common objects makes this video amazing! Your views/messages were sometimes sketchy but in the overall theme your point was strong. Good Job! I hope to see more

I hate to break the cycle, but this wasn’t so beautiful and sad. I wasn’t terrible or anything, but girl missing her man who died isn’t anything new or groundbreaking. It’s simple and well done for what it is, I’ll grant you that. But I woulnd’t praise it as everyone one else has. But again, I’m not trying to be an A hole, I’m sure you meant for it to be simple, and it seems to me you succedded in what you wanted. So good job.
