“nothing but mutton”? mutton is awesome! those trolls are a couple of ungrateful maggots. but the long pork is tempting…mmm…

I think it sucks that the video couldn’t play for two more seconds to play the whole speech:
    “Stand by the grey stone
    When the thrush knocks
And the last light of the setting sun……….”
    *SIGH* on to part 3………

  6. rebwanz says:

    lmao

  7. Raptorramm says:

Err……Maybe a Balrogs head? :P lol idk but I would in the end(much rather face a Dragon)

  8. Raptorramm says:

I would very much rather face a Dragon then a Balrog, becuase the Balrog is nothing but set on killing you, a Dragon atleast has a mind to be able to talk to and understands their language. Also, a Dragons head would look waaay better over my Fireplace :P

    me to

It depends how much of Tolkien’s writing you’re willing to consider. Offhand I find The Balrog to be more of a magical creature and Smaug to be more of a–powerful–animal. We hear of Smaug and other dragons being defeated by mortal Heroes–I don’t easily imagine Bard slaying The Balrog. So, I should say The Balrog should be the victor but then I’ve never had a serious interest in _The Silmarillion_. Which of the two would you rather meet (I’d rather chance riddling with a dragon!)?

I am getting SO HUNGRY watching these trolls talk about eating the dwarves!

  12. TomBobdabil says:

How does he fit all of those things in his sleeve? I tried that once and everything fell out. lol XD I guess you have to be a wizard.

  13. JHRMS says:

Well, im not really sure myself. The Balrog is strong indeed and a Mayar. BUT if u look to it from the Silmarillion side. Drakes were created by Morgoth himself, they were said to overpower the Mayar class. SO the chance a drake pwns a Balrog is pretty big.

  14. mikelheron20 says:

So did the authors of the spoof “Bored of the Rings”. The book has the character “Dildo Bugger”.

  15. Bidmartinlo says:

    Moon letters! How inconvinient!

  16. loled123 says:

Well, the Dragon power is the impenetrable scales along with the fact that it breaths quote hot fire. Its raw power in combat is actually not that big.
The Balrog got the raw power to fight a wizard, it not easy to kill, immune to fire and heat since its a sort of fire element demon, and its quite tough(a well placed arrow that hits will not kill it).
So its power to the Balrog :P

  17. ThatonedudeXD says:

Aww, they left out the part when Gandalf tricked the trolls into arguing all night. =(

  18. celtispirit6604 says:

between smaug and a balrog, I think taht the winner is the balrog: yes, smaug is a dragon, but a balrog is a bad Maiar, like gandalf, sarumane or sauron, he may be powerer (but it’s just my idea ^^)

  19. CyberLance26 says:

The fire monster Gandalf, frodo and the others meet in the Dwarf caverns in the Fellowship of the ring.

  20. harrybranch says:

    who is balrog ?

  21. HefeP says:

Balrog vs Smaug, who would win??????

  22. srhpirate2 says:

i definately a nerd before the live action came out, just not an insane one yet. i was also older and was able to understand the books better. i agree, there are definately things in the books that are better than the films. they’re still pretty good though!

  23. Fleefles says:

If you had read the books prior, why did you become a “huge nerd” only after the movies came out? The books are far superior to hte live action films.

  24. mel956 says:

    LOL

  25. mel956 says:

its not, it comes before all of the three movies/books
